Nurse Practitioner Burn Unit

Job Details:

  • 2 years of experience required
  • Position Description:

    Responsible for assessment, planning, coordination of care, discharge planning, care delivery, evaluation and documentation of care independently and in collaboration with the Burn surgeons and other health care professionals. Acts as a resource for staff/surgical resident in the Burn Center, and liaison for family members with various members of the health care team. Reports to the Burn Center Medical Director and Nursing Director of the Burn Center. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Qualifications Required:

    Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and licensed to practice professional nursing in the state of Ohio. MSN required. Minimum of 2 years of adult acute care or burn nursing experience. Certified as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner required. Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification is preferred. Licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse with Prescriptive Authority in the State of Ohio. Current Health Care Provider BLS and ACLS are required; PALS, , ABLS, ABLS instructor and TNCC(or equivalent) training are preferred or will obtain.. Must obtain credentialing as a member of the medical staff. Excellent critical thinking, self motivation and interpersonal communication skills essential.
